Yes, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us until your room is ready. In the meantime, we will do our best to prepare your room as soon as possible and may offer you an earlier check-in.
It is generally not possible to check in after 22:00. However, we may be able to arrange a later check-in on a case-by-case basis, depending on availability and if we receive sufficient advance notice. Please contact us before making a reservation to inquire about the possibility of retrieving the keys after 22:00. All requests must be confirmed by us.
Check-out time is by 11:00. If you need a later check-out, please contact us before your arrival or during your stay, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. If a later check-out is not possible, you are welcome to leave your luggage at the reception and pick it up later.
Smoking inside any establishment is prohibited in Slovenia according to the legislation act Restriction on the Use of Tobacco and Related Products Act (Zakon o omejevanju uporabe tobačnih in povezanih izdelkov – ZOUTPI (Uradni list RS, št. 9/17 z dne 24. 2. 2017). Therefore, we ask guests to respect the fact that all our rooms are strictly non-smoking rooms. We reserve the right to charge an exceptional flat-rate cleaning fee of 100,00 EUR for smoking in our rooms.
Pets are allowed at our guesthouse at an extra charge of 10,00 EUR per pet, per night.
The general occupancy is 1-2 persons per room. Extra beds for a third or fourth occupant are allowed only in the Double Room (surcharge applies), The Economy Double Room and Studio Apartments have no available extra space. Reservations of extra beds must be arranged before arrival and are only final when confirmed by our guesthouse.
All children up to 2 years old stay free of charge when using the existing bedding or baby crib.
All children from 3 to 12 years old pay an additional 25,00 EUR per night when using the existing bedding or an extra bed. Individuals above the age of 12 are considered adults by our guesthouse.
An adult person in a room is charged 45,00 EUR per night for using an extra bed.
Children from 3 years old to 11 years old can stay for 25,00 EUR per child per night in existing bedding. Children 12 years old and over stay for 45,00 EUR per child per night in existing bedding.

To confirm your reservation, we will require your credit card details for a pre-authorisation at any time before your arrival date. Pre-authorisation acts as a credit check to ensure that your credit card is valid and has sufficient funds available to cover all or part of the reservation costs. During the pre-authorisation process, the amount for your reservation will be temporarily held as unavailable for a specified period. If you select one of our non-refundable or pay-in-advance offers, your credit card will be charged the full amount at the time of reservation.
Please double-check that all the information from your credit card has been entered correctly, and verify the type of credit card you are using. We only accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. If all the details are accurate, please reach out to your credit card provider or your issuing bank to inquire about any limitations regarding online authorisations, or to confirm whether your credit card supports 3DSV or 3DSV2 security protocols.

Unfortunately, if you fail to change or cancel your reservation on time, you will be charged the total amount of the reservation.
When making a reservation, you have the option to pay upon arrival. However, we will require your credit card information to perform a pre-authorisation, which secures your booking. For more information on pre-authorisations, please refer to our Guesthouse Policies.
Galeria River is situated in Ljubljana’s historical center, which is a car-free zone, so we do not have a parking area. However, parking is available on the nearby streets and in parking lots.
The nearest secured parking lot is located just 250 meters away from Galeria River – NUK II. It can be found on Emonska Street, near the Square of the French Revolution and close to the National and University Library. The parking rates are 1.20 EUR per hour during the day (from 7:00 to 22:00) and 2.00 EUR per night (from 220:00 to 7:00).
Additionally, parking is available on the streets of Ljubljana. Grudnovo nabrežje, which is approximately 400 meters from Galeria River, is situated along the banks of the Ljubljanica River. The rate for street parking is 0.50 EUR per hour, with a maximum of 6 hours during the day (from 7:00 to 19:00). Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays. If you choose to park on the street, please ensure that you only use white-marked parking spots, as parking in blue or yellow-marked spots is not allowed. Furthermore, street parking does not permit full payment in advance; it must be renewed daily.
There are no free parking options anywhere in the area.
NUK II is a public parking area, so advance reservations are not needed or possible.
You can briefly stop (max. 5-10 minutes) at the start of Breg promenade, 30 meters from our building and entrance, to unload the luggage.

We do not provide a pick-up service from the station; however, you can call a taxi yourself or ask us to arrange one for you. Please be cautious and avoid taking any of the taxis waiting in front of the station, as they often overcharge.

Since Galeria River’s reception hours are limited, please confirm your scheduled arrival time and review our policies regarding late check-ins before booking a transfer.
The standard fare is 50 EUR per trip. Please note that the price may increase if you travel with more than three pieces of luggage. For a precise estimate, we recommend visiting our booking page. There, you can enter the date and time of your transfer, as well as the number of passengers and pieces of luggage.
We do not have a storage room for bicycles, but they can be safely stored in the building’s hallway on the ground floor. There, you can lock your bicycles to the stands.
Storing bicycles in our guestrooms is not permitted due to space limitations.
Among all room types, only our Double Room with River View offers a view of both the river and the castle.
